SWAP MEET VENDOR RULES and REGULATIONS
GENERAL INFORMATION
1)Barber Motorsports Park, Zoom Motorsports, Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum nor their affiliates (henceforth BVMM) assume no responsibility for any damage or loss by fire, theft or any other cause whatsoever. Vendors and spectators use the facilities at their own risk and agree to indemnify and save harmless BVMM, its agents and employees from any loss or liability including, but not limited to costs of defense, arising from participation at events conducted by BVMM and/or held at Barber Motorsports Park. Vendors will indemnify and save harmless BVMM for any such loss or liability arising from conduct of any vendor towards another vendor or the public
2)BVMM reserves the right to reject application for space rental or renewal on the basis of unsatisfactory previous conduct, merchandise that does not fit within the scope of the event, or upon any other basis made in the sole determination and at the sole discretion of BVMM. BVMM also reserves the right to remove individuals who exhibit unsatisfactory behavior during an event. Misuse of any show credentials will result in ejection from Barber Motorsports Park. Failure to comply with any of the rules and regulations may result in loss of the willingness of BVMM to renew a space rental or immediate removal from grounds.
3)Swap meet spaces shall be used for sale of product, NOT used as solely as camping or parking spaces. The space must be used for vending during open Swap Meet hours 8AM-4:30PM.
4)Merchandise for sale in Swap Meet must be a minimum of 80% Motorcycle, Automotive, or transportation related.
5)All merchandise, vehicles and tent must be contained within assigned space and vendors may not engage in any sales or business activities outside the assigned space without the written consent of an authorized agent of BVMM.
6)In order to prevent accidents and/or traffic problems all merchandise, bikes, scooters, etc. must be kept off the blacktop in the swap meet area.
7)No food or beverage sales. Only contracted food vendors and concessionaires may sell food or beverages of any kind, including water.
8)No selling of counterfeit products of any kind. This includes sunglasses, purses, logoed merchandise, etc.
9)No selling or display of offensive or pornographic materials or references.
10)No gun, knife, or any weapon sales or display is permitted.
11)Vehicles used for restocking may be brought in (with a vehicle pass) between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m. All vehicles that are not part of the display/booth that are in the park after 7 a.m. will be towed unless approved.
12)Hauling Merchandise / Transportation on grounds: No vendor vehicles will be allowed to enter or exit the Swap Meet grounds between 7:30am and 5pm on Friday and Saturday. A FREE parts shuttle is provided to take parts and motorcycles to customer vehicles on or offsite. Additional options for parts hauling are available. Please visit the vendor office if you need assistance hauling your parts to the gate.
13)No Subleasing of space. The Vendor shall not assign, sublet or apportion the whole or any part of their assigned space or have representatives, equipment or materials firms than their own in their assigned space without the written consent of BVMM.
14)Transfer of space. The transfer of renewal space is allowed only with the express authorization from BVMM. BVMM exclusively reserves the right to approve any and all transfer requests at its sole discretion. Criteria for the approval of transfer of space will be determined solely by BVMM and best interest of the company and the event.
15)All personal vehicles must be street legal, licensed, insured, and operated by a licensed driver. Spectators are not permitted the use of 4 wheelers, dirt bikes, motorized mules or other unlicensed motorbikes of any type.
16)No powered or motorized vehicles of any type may be operated within the swap meet areas. Vehicle usage is subject to the judgement of BVMM and its representatives.
17)Trams are available at no charge to help guests move easily around the park.
18)Quiet hours for the swap meet are 10pm to 7am.
19)Generators are only permitted if they do not pose a fire safety hazard, are not too loud, and are properly vented. Generators causing excessive noise or fumes are strictly prohibited. Generators that vent exhaust fumes directly into adjoining vendor spaces are strictly prohibited. Generators should be vented above vehicles and crowd. Generators may not be operated during quiet hours (10pm-7am) without approval from a BVMM representative.
20)Trash Removal: Vendors will be charged $75.00 for removal of excessive trash that is not properly bagged. It is mandatory that all cardboard boxes be broken down and stacked by a trash cans for removal.
21)Vehicle Passes: Only one vehicle pass will be issued per space. Vehicle pass MUST be displayed in vehicle’s windshield prior to entry grounds... Any individuals in the vehicle must present a separate pass or pay admission to enter the grounds. Barber Motorsports Park has adopted a one warning policy. This means you will be asked ONE TIME to refrain from a particular behavior. If behavior continues you will be escorted from the property by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department. If ejected, you will forfeit your vending space for the remainder of event and space will not be renewed. In the event of an emergency please call 205-325-1450 to reach the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department who will dispatch the onsite ambulance. For all other emergencies please notify a volunteer (in a yellow vest) during the day and at night please notify security guard. Guards will be on duty at all times; located at the swap meet entrance and roaming the swap meet.
2024 BARBER MOTORSPORTS PARK RULES AND REGULATIONS
Management shall have the right to add to or amend the rules and regulations at any time. Park security has final say on enforcement of all park rules and regulations.General Park Rules:•No entrance into restricted areas without proper credentials.•No pets on facility grounds except those required to assist handicapped individuals.•No jumping of fences.•No glass containers allowed on property at any time.•Spectators are not allowed to rope off any areas. Scaffolding is prohibited.•Speed limits: Posted speed limits must be obeyed at all times. Where not posted otherwise, speed limit is fifteen (15) miles per hour throughout the BMP.•All trash must be placed in proper trash receptacles.•Management may expel or bar any individual for violation of any rule, as determined by management’s sole discretion.•No abusive behavior or vandalism. Either could result in ejection and/or arrest.•No unlawful activities. Federal, state, and local laws must be obeyed.•No flyers or handbills may be distributed unless prior approval is obtained from management.•No fireworks, firearms, or weapons are allowed on facility grounds.•ATV’s, ATC’s, golf carts, pit cars, pit bikes, bicycles, and other pit vehicles are permitted in the paddock area only. Common sense and care must be applied in their use. All drivers/riders of pit vehicles must carry a valid driver’s license. Operate vehicles only on paved surfaces.•Motor vehicles operating outside the paddock MUST be street legal and all riders must wear helmets.•Minors are not allowed to operate bicycles at any time anywhere in the Park.•A parent must accompany a minor at all times while in the paddock.•No skateboards, roller skates, roller blades, razor scooters, or any similar type items allowed anywhere in the Park.•No loud music.•No alcohol allowed in the paddock.•No smoking around team areas or fueling areas.•Smoking in any building is strictly prohibited. Please do not throw extinguished cigarettes on the ground.•Do not damage grassed areas.•No campfires or ground fires are allowed on park property. Grills are allowed only in camping areas. •No spectators allowed on track at any time.•No stakes of any kind may be driven into paved surfaces; care must be used when vehicle jacks are used to prevent the jack from sinking into a paved surface (such as placing a large enough piece of wood under the jack so that the weight is distributed over a large enough area that the pavement will not get “dented”). Kickstands on asphalt must have something under them to distribute the weight. •Helmets must be worn on perimeter road at all time when operating two-wheeled motorized vehicles.• Cameras, lawn chairs, blankets, and coolers are welcome.•Coolers are allowed, but are subject to search by Park security or Park management.•Overnight camping – please see specific rules and regulations pertaining to overnight camping.•No For Sale signs may be displayed in parking areas. Participant Guidelines:•Barber Motorsports Park will monitor sound levels from a fixed location with 104 dB being the maximum acceptable level. Anyone with a sound level above 104 dB will be asked to make adjustments to comply.•Any and all fuel and/or oil spills in the paddock must be cleaned by the user and disposed of in proper receptacles.•Vehicles may be serviced only on paved areas in the paddock.•No un-muffled engines may be started before 7am or after 8pm.•No banners may be hung or attached to any facilities or structures unless prior approval is obtained from management.•Waste oil, waste fuel, and/or waste coolant must be disposed of in proper waste drums – violators will be held accountable for fines and/or fees associated with improper disposal. Clean up fees are on a cost plus basis.•Any hazardous material (tires, batteries, fuel cans, etc.) must be removed from premises. Violators will be held responsible for all fines and/or fees associated with the removal of hazardous materials.•Any fuel containers brought on site must be removed by the user.•Notices and other event related information must be posted only on provided bulletin boards.•Each participant must have one (1) portable dry fire extinguisher with a minimum rating of 12 BC available and in good working order in their pit area.•No imbedding of brakes and/or testing vehicles on any surfaces other than the motor vehicle track.•No open toed shoes allowed in hot pit areas.
